Silver Creek Jazz Band

The Silver Creek Jazz Band will play for the final 2025-26 Austin Traditional Jazz Society concert on Sunday, June 7 from 2 to 5 pm at Ben Hur Shrine Temple, 7811 Rockwood Lane, Austin, TX.

Silver Creek Jazz Band was started in 2007 by leader Dave Stoddard. It has played a variety of events since then in formats ranging from three to seven players. The June 7 concert will mark the 15th time that Silver Creek has played for the Society, and it represented the Society at the 2010 Texas Community Music Festival at Central Market North. Most recently, it represented the Society at 2022-23-25 International Jazz Day concerts at Long Center. Silver Creek also played for the 2012 Louis Armstrong Festival in Round Rock and 2017-2018 Jazz on the Main in Cedar Park. Ace cornetist David Jellema will join the band for this concert. Free admission to ATJS members; General admission at the door: $12; College Students with ID, and members of Austin Jazz Society: $5.00. Snacks, beer, wine and sodas are available. Patrons can bring their own food. ATJS concerts are family-friendly.
